Few days back, certain TV channels were showing Salman Khan and his beau, Katrina Kaif, had arrived separately for the success bash of Kacnchivaram, which was organized by the producers of the movie, Percept. This had led to the speculation that they were not together anymore.

But when the bad boy of Bollywood was asked on the same by a daily, he mentioned that he was not aware of such an incident at all.

“I’ve been travelling. What is it that you are talking about? I haven’t see TV since yesterday,” he said. When he was told and asked if he and Katrina were still together, he let out his trademark smile and mentioned that, “Oh! We didn’t come together because we didn’t want to give everyone present a photo of together. We are saving that for a special reason. Very soon, we will be making an appearance together.”

Namaste London' will show Katrina Kaif wearing a skirt at Ajmer DargahSoon-to-be-released Bollywood movie Namaste London , which saw a controversy over Katrina Kaif wearing a short skirt while shooting inside Ajmer Dargah, would be screened with the original shots taken there.


This was informed to the media by the film's director Vipul Amrutlal Shah. However, he added that he is still ready to re-shoot the scene if anyone comes out with any objection.


"There is no controversy related to the film shooting at Khawja Moinudeen Chisti's Dargah and the Anjuman Committee has supported the scene. No objection was made by anyone so far," Shah told reporters after screening the movie promos at a five-star hotel near Jaipur Tuesday evening.


"I have published a written apology in two national dailies and the matter has ended now. Still if anyone has any complaint, I am ready to re-shoot the scene at the Dargah," Shah said.


Katrina was slapped a notice by the Dargah Committee last year for wearing a knee-length skirt, exposing her legs, inside the shrine premises while shooting last year. Actor Rishi Kapoor , Shah and a local resident Babubhai Goshi were also served notices.


To a question whether the Dargah Committee accepted the apology, Shah said, "We went to the holy place with a guide and a permission... And we do not know who gave the permission


"We are still ready to change the shot if anyone brings any objection on the alleged and hypothetical controversy, but I am telling you, there is nothing wrong. The movie would be released on March 23," he said.

atrina’s new movie ‘Welcome’ ready to release, The movie featuring Akshay Kumar,Katrina Kaif, Anil Kapoor, Mallika Sherawat, Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar.

Anees Bazmee’s last movie starring Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley was the biggest blockbuster of the year 2005.

Anees is back with yet another comedy titled Welcome. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead, with Nana Patekar, Feroz Khan, Paresh Rawal and Mallika Sherawat as the supporting actors.

Welcome is produced by Feroz Nadiadwala and releases on the 21st of december 2007. Aamir Khan’s directorial debut Tare Zameen Par also releases on the same day!

This could well be the next biggest clash after Saawariya and Om Shanti Om.

Salman Khan is known to get embroiled in one controversy after the other. He has been charged in the hunting of black buck cases and also in a hit and run accident case where he ran over one person and injured three others. Shah is willing to shoot the movie in Australia, Egypt and Punjab. The film is going to be quite a musical one too with the tracks composed by Pritam.

According to reports, since the breaks in between the shots were long, it was Akshaye who took the initiative and invited co-stars for games of chess. Katrina Kaif, needless to say, was all game for it.

Though she knew a few of the moves, she reportedly learnt the game in detail from Akshaye.

Synopsis

Dr. Ghungroo (Paresh Rawal) is searching for a suitable bride for his nephew Rajiv (Akshay) . Dr. Ghungroo wants a girl from a family that should have impeccable background and spotless reputation. For obvious reasons, every bridal interview ends with him storming off in rage and disgust. Rajiv seems destined to remain a bachelor.

Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) is a highly feared underworld don who is searching for a suitable boy for his only sister Sanjana. Uday wants a boy from a respectable family with spotless reputation. For obvious reasons, all the boys he interviews run away in fright when they realize who they are dealing with. Sanjana seems destined to remain a spinster.

But then, along comes raging fire that plays cupid and entices Rajiv and Sanjana to fall in love. Along comes a conniving pandit who plays a matchmaker after hiding a few truths.

Dr. Ghungroo is ecstatic. Beautiful Sanjana is what he wanted for Rajiv. Uday Shetty too is excited. Handsome Rajiv is what he wanted for Sanjana.

Then Dr. Ghungroo learns the bitter truth that Sanjana comes from a dangerous family of gangsters. And Uday Shetty also realizes the harsh truth that no threats will coerce Rajiv’s uncle into accepting this marriage.

And then, there is also Isha or Ishika (Mallika Sherawat) who enters the scene as Rajiv’s childhood bride and ends up as Uday Shetty and Majnubhai’s sweetheart.

Welcome to the deadliest and funniest Shaadi of the year.

The songs of ‘Welcome’ are composed by three musicians – Himesh Reshammiya, Anand Raj Anand and Sajid Wajid. Sanjay F Gupta is the director of photography.

Amisha Patel will be seen next in Kunal Kohli’s project opposite Saif Ali Khan. This is the first time Amisha is teaming up with Chhote Nawab. The film will be produced by Kohli himself and distributed by Yash Raj. It will also have Rani Mukherjee and Rishi Kapoor in a cameo. It will be shot maily in Delhi.

Fun filled absurd incidents and lot of commotion, the film has funny sequences and promises loads and loads of fun.

The storyline deals with Uday Shetty [Nana Patekar], Majnu [Anil Kapoor] and their boss, Sikander [Feroz Khan], who are comical gangsters based in Hong Kong. They want to get Uday’s sister Sanjana [Katrina Kaif] married into a respectable family.

Rajiv [Akshay Kumar] accidentally meets Uday who in turn is quite impressed by Rajiv’s merit as Sanjana’s grrom. Meanwhile, Sanjana also happens to fall in love with Rajiv but is unaware of her brothers’ plans. Then there is Dr. Ghunghroo [Paresh Rawal], Rajiv’s uncle who supports the couple but decides to go against the marriage when he comes to know of Sanjana’s background. The commotion and confusion reaches it’s climax with the entry of a sexy bombshell [Mallika Sherawat] who claims to be Rajiv’s wedded wife.

The entry of the three gangsters sets the pace of the film and the film is definitely better in the first half which is packed with tickling intelligent one-liners. Mallika’s performance with Nana and Anil are really funny. The film successfully does justice to the beautiful locations of Dubai and South Africa.

However, the film seems to be losing it’s grip in the second half which has some repetitive jokes. Also, the music fails to come up to the mark.

2207 has undoubtedly established Akshay Kumar as the king of comedies, but for the first time this veteran actor seems to be overshadowed by other co-stars: Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor and last by not the least Paresh Rawal who are superb and brilliant in their roles. Though the female actors do not get much scope, Katrina Kaif manages to ooze freshness and appeal. In fact, in some places she seems to steal the show from Bollywood’s sex kitten Mallika Sherawat.

To sum up, the film’s well-planned advertisement strategy has created enough hype and also the festive mood of Christmas, has resulted in a remarkable and brilliant start at the ticket office, but the question is: Will ‘Welcome’ be able to reach up to the expectations of the ‘Junta Janaardhan’ and sustain it’s collections at the box-office? The ‘Welcome’ the film has got in the first week surely predicts that the film may be the last hit of the year 2007.

Produce Vipul Shah has come up with a novel idea to keep the cast of his film ‘Singh is Kinng’ happy. All his cast members have taken their families along for the two-month-long schedule at Goa Coast in Australia.

Katrina Kaif is staying along with her family, her mom and sisters, in the apartments at Q1, world’s tallest residential tower. Vipul Shah and Akshay Kumar are also there with their families, following which there is a considerable kids group on the sets. The ‘bachcha party’ includes Akshay’s six-year-old son Aarav, Vipul’s sons six-year-old Aryaman and five-year-old Maurya and kids of the line producers.

Talking about it Vipul says, “It becomes extremely difficult to stay away from your family for over two months. We have a start-to-finish schedule at Gold Coast, and that’s when I asked everyone to bring their families along.”

Raj Kumar Santoshi is set to offer the audiences with a straight-from-the-heart love story. This romantic project is yet in it’s pre-production stage and the leading couple this time is the untried pair of Shahid Kapoor and gorgeous Katrina Kaif. The movie will hit the floors in early November and the director plans to finish it off by the ned of the year.

“I haven’t done a simple love story before. Most of my films have been very intense and searching. I just wanted to see what it felt like to direct a boy-meets-girl story, now that my Ajay Devgan-Vidya Balan starrer Halla Bol is ready,” says Raj.
